A lot of people were left scratching their heads when news came out that Nicki Minaj was throwing shade towards Kanye West. Nicki and Kanye have had a long running professional relationship. Nicki appeared on the song “Monster” off of Kanye’s My Dark Twisted Fantasy in 2010, three days after her debut project Pink Friday was released, which happened to be an album Kanye also appeared on.

During an interview with Marie Claire, Minaj was speaking about racial double standards and used Kanye’s song “Gold Digger” as an example, but also spoke about his relationship with Kim Kardashian. She was quoted as saying, “I’m so tired of black women feeling that when our men get rich, they’re going to leave them for a woman of a different race. It wasn’t funny when Kanye said, ‘When he get on, he’ll leave your ass for a white girl’ – and Kanye happens to be with a white girl now. It wasn’t funny when he said it; it was the fucking truth.”

Was she pointing out the obvious, or actually attacking Kanye for being a hypocrite? She’s now claiming it was the former when she dropped these Tweets…
