What is hip-hop without a good beef? Ever since Roxanne Shante dropped Roxanne’s Revenge in 1984 rappers have been releasing diss tracks aimed at their competitors. Hip-hop is as much of a competitive sport as it is a musical genre, and just like every other entertainment avenue… Controversy sells!
Fast forward to 2016, and there isn’t an emcee in the game who seems to have more drama surrounding them than Drake. It may be because of his success, it may be because of his history, but regardless of the reason, people have been coming for him. He’s back and taking aim at Pusha T and Kid Cudi with his latest track “Two Birds, One Stone.” He released the song, along with others, while announcing a new upcoming project.
Drake normally plays his cards pretty close to the vest. This time, however, he’s actualy been responding to not only his musical counterparts, but also fans leaving comments on his social media pages about the new song.
We’ll see where the beef goes from here. There’s no doubt that Pusha T will be responding soon. OVO has had the diss record wiped off of the Internet for now, but they did release this song as well…
